One Platform for a Growing Dive Business
The Purple Octopus operates across several areas of the Indian dive industry. In addition to selling scuba and watersports equipment, the company supports SSI training, provides information about dive insurance, and represents several major international equipment brands in India.
We developed a large WordPress and WooCommerce website that brings these different parts of the business together under one recognizable brand. The homepage serves as the central hub, directing customers into dedicated shopping, training, insurance, and service experiences.
Commerce, Training and Industry Resources
The online store supports an extensive equipment catalog with product categories, variations, detailed specifications, Indian pricing, and purchasing tools. The training section functions as its own structured resource, organizing SSI programs and course information for recreational and professional divers.
Although each section serves a different audience, the shared WordPress platform gives The Purple Octopus one system for managing its products, programs, content, and customer experience. The result is a sizable digital platform designed to support both consumer sales and the company’s broader role within India’s dive industry.
An International Partnership
Based in India, The Purple Octopus selected Duck Diver Marketing as its WordPress and eCommerce development partner despite the distance between our teams. The project demonstrates how specialized industry knowledge can matter more than geography when building a complex digital platform.
Working across time zones, we created a site designed for the Indian market while supporting international equipment brands, SSI training programs, and the broader needs of a growing dive-industry business.
