Modernizing a Long-Standing Travel Website

Explorer Ventures Fleet has operated liveaboard diving adventures for more than 37 years, connecting travelers with destinations throughout the Caribbean, Pacific, Indian Ocean, Red Sea, and beyond.

We originally redesigned the Explorer Ventures website in 2015. After nearly a decade of growth, the company decided it was time to modernize the site again. We developed and launched the current WordPress platform in March 2025, reorganizing its expanding collection of destinations, vessels, itineraries, schedules, and travel resources into a more cohesive experience.

Navigation Built for a Global Fleet

Explorer Ventures operates across numerous destinations, each with its own vessels, itineraries, diving conditions, schedules, pricing, and travel requirements. A conventional navigation menu could not present that much information clearly.

We developed a purpose-built mega navigation system that organizes destinations geographically and gives visitors direct access to the related vessels and trip information. The navigation makes the full scope of the fleet accessible without overwhelming visitors or forcing them through multiple layers of pages.

Making Complex Travel Options Easier to Explore

Each destination has its own vessels, itineraries, diving conditions, schedules, pricing, travel requirements, and frequently asked questions. The site’s content architecture was designed to help visitors move naturally between these related resources without losing sight of the trip they are considering.

Destination and vessel pages combine inspirational travel content with practical planning details, while prominent calls to action connect visitors with fleet schedules, availability, reservation information, and booking options.

Supporting the Entire Trip-Planning Journey

The website extends well beyond destination marketing. It includes fleet-wide availability, reservation policies, travel advisories, packing information, equipment guidance, special offers, agent resources, and other information guests need before choosing and preparing for a liveaboard trip.

The finished platform gives Explorer Ventures a flexible foundation for managing a changing international fleet while helping travelers compare destinations, find available departures, and confidently take the next step toward booking their trip.
