Documenting Places Hidden Below the Surface

D.E.P.T.H. Research & Exploration is a technical diving team focused on shipwreck identification, cave exploration, underwater imaging, and field documentation. The website needed to present that work with the seriousness of a research organization while retaining the visual impact of underwater exploration.

We developed a focused WordPress website that introduces the team’s mission, capabilities, field methods, and approach to preserving visual records of submerged environments.

Interactive Photogrammetry Models

Photogrammetry transforms a series of underwater photographs into a detailed three-dimensional reconstruction of a wreck, artifact, or submerged landscape. These models allow researchers and visitors to examine sites that would otherwise be inaccessible to most people.

We integrated model-viewer into a custom WordPress block, allowing the D.E.P.T.H. team to publish interactive 3D models without manually writing embed code. Visitors can rotate, pan, and zoom each model directly in the browser while the block keeps presentation and instructions consistent across the site.

Built for Continued Exploration

The finished website gives D.E.P.T.H. a platform for presenting its team, documenting its field methodology, sharing interactive photogrammetry work, and supporting future research collaborations. The structure can grow alongside the organization as new wrecks, cave systems, expeditions, and visual records are added.

The result is more than a portfolio of underwater imagery. It is a public-facing archive that helps make difficult-to-access submerged environments available for study, interpretation, and preservation.
